What I'll never have

WHAT I'LL NEVER HAVE

The sadness is overwhelming
of grieving for the loss
of a Mother, oh so dear
and not one who was always cross.

I long for love and acceptance from you
for who I am today
There is a little girl burried down
who longs for yesterday

She missed out on oh so much
the basics of each and every day
A hold, a touch, the words of love
Which are the platforms for who she should be today.

Instead, I stand before you
A tired, lonely shell
For this is what you've made me
I'm living your hell.

If you'd of never made me
This pain I'd never have to endure
The loss of what could have been
You love - A mothers love, so pure.

Thanks for sharing Tracey!  I say "ditto" to this poem.  I feel the same.  March is also my bday month and my daughter's.  I have always liked the month ~ but today, I hate it.  My daughter moved out last night.  And she had the mother that I would have died for.  Oh well ~ Undecided

Big hugs,

Tracey,

Oh how I relate to your poem.

The emptiness in my heart for the mother I have wished for.

I have watched my mother fade away before my eyes.

Even though alive she is dead to me.

I remember reaching out for a hug and she received me with no love her arms just down at her side.

Thanks for sharing and know you are not alone.
