Title: "You Heard My CRY"
Post by Butterfly on Feb 26th, 2006 at 4:16am
The Pain was so great
for I had been molested before age eight
I felt as if there was no hope
and could no longer cope
for so long,so very long
I stood sad but tried to be strong
But now the pain
was pouring in faster than rain
Turning back time would do no good
But Oh, how I wish I could
Growing up there was no love
Only the hope of it when seeing the stars above
When I saw the stars, Oh how I would yearn
I could, Oh only if I would just have somewhere to turn
So many tears.....
And the lack of any caring ears....
Oh, so many tears
for years and years
Somehow though, as a young child I did survive
For I just wanted to be loved and simply stay alive
I did what I could
What many probably would
I denied the abuse and pain
for survival was the only gain
No comfort or love to be found
No, not anywhere around
The memories were buried deep inside
and I simply held on for the very rough ride
Now the journey brings me here
As I try to have courage and face the fear
Gone is my childhood, and much of my adult life away
To my abusers I don't know yet what to say
But to you, my dear husband, children and friend (s)
I have many words of thanks to send
To all of you THANK YOU I say
for showing me love I dreamed of when I would see...
  the stars so far away
Thank you for hearing my cry
And causing some of the pain to die
For I know the road is still so very long
but with all your love and support it is much easier...
  to be strong
I hope you have all felt my love & thanks as you have
 read
Before I close, I share something my husband has
 often to me said
"TURN YOUR SCARS
INTO STARS"
Please all know I am trying
And thank you for your shoulders as at times I am
  still crying
But this fact you know
Because your compassion and love you freely show
You have heard my cry
As I again say thank you and close with a sigh

Thank you to all the wonderful people in my life who have made this journey possible knowing I am not alone

           With Hugs, Thanks & Love
